She looked out the window and closed her eyes for a moment…
I asked her: „Would you like me to play a piece of music you like?“
She said: „I’m already listening to music… the music of the street.“
I fell silent and let her move, expressing what she felt with her body.
And I, in turn, listened to the music she was talking about, and I found myself focusing on the sound of car engines, the wind, and the faint rustling of the trees — don’t forget you’re in the concrete capital.
I watched her movement… She was radiant and complete like a carefully sculpted Greek statue, as flexible as a cat, and as contemplative as a Buddhist monk who has mastered his body’s prayers with precision. I love intelligent souls.
I didn’t ask Inge for any specific poses during the shoot.
I only asked: What is the dancer’s relationship with the earth? So she threw her body lightly onto the ground as if embracing it… What is the dancer’s relationship with the air?What is the dancer’s relationship with the air?
So she raised her hands, and the air between them turned into something material, with weight and dimensions.
Our session ended with a beautiful, genuine hug, and with an unforgettable experience. You made me touch the air, see music with my eyes, and befriend the earth.
